have to improve the transportation system to deal with its <br />impact or face the alternative of being allowed to develop <br />at no more than one unit per acre. <br />Commissioner Scurlock noted that we have planned on a <br />certain customer base for our South Beach Water System, and <br />if those numbers change radically, we will have a problem. <br />Commissioner Lyons concurred and pointed out that we would <br />have trouble with -the bond covenants. <br />Commissioner Bowman felt it may be necessary to sell <br />water out of the county, but the Commission was not <br />enthusiastic about that idea. <br />Commissioner Bowman noted that not only are we being <br />severely impacted from -the south, but -we -are going to have <br />Aquarina at our north door. She suggested the appointment <br />of an ad hoc committee to report to the County Commission on <br />July 6th and that this committee be constituted as follows: <br />the Chairman to be the elected representative to the <br />Planning & Management Committee; a representative from the <br />Planning & Zoning Commission; the County Attorney; a <br />representative from the Game & Fish Commission; and one <br />representative from each municipality in the County. <br />Commissioner Bowman felt with a 7 person ad hoc committee, <br />this plan can be brought into shape and brought back to the <br />Commission as a whole. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bowman, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, to appoint <br />an ad hoc committee as outlined above to <br />review the plan and bring recommendations <br />back to the Commission July 6th. <br />Lengthy discussion ensued in regard to having a <br />separate motion requesting an extension; whether or not we <br />0 <br />MAY <br />
