4P <br />• <br />t <br />RESOLUTION 99- 5 9 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR <br />TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY <br />AFFAIRS FOR A NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is experiencing a need for physical improvements <br />in one or more low -to -moderate income neighborhoods; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners to improve the living environment in these areas; and <br />plan. <br />WHEREAS, the proposed CDBG application is consistent with the local comprehensive <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA; that <br />SECTION 1. The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is declared <br />to be a workable program for providing needed physical improvements in the low -to -moderate <br />income area(s) indicated in the proposed 1999/2000 CDBG application. <br />SECTION 2. The Board of County Commissioners hereby directs the County Clerk <br />to sign all necessary certifications for the Community Development Block Grant application. <br />SECTION 3. The Board of County Commissioners directs the Community <br />Development Director to execute and submit the attached application to the Florida <br />Department of Community Affairs for state approval. <br />SECTION 4. The Board of County Commissioners authorizes and directs the <br />Community Development Director to submit additional information in a timely manner as <br />1 <br />AITACMMi;Ny 6 <br />
