MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, that the <br />Board accept the recommendation of Chairman <br />Bird and authorize that payment of landfill fees <br />in regard to the Gifford cleanup campaign be <br />made out of Road & Bridge's landfill account. <br />In discussion, Commissioner Wodtke reported that in <br />some previous cleanup efforts, they had placed a couple of <br />extra trash dumpsters around the area for pickup by the <br />County, but the effort was not too successful. Chairman <br />Bird stressed that the people did not dispose of the really <br />heavy trash items at that time, and hopefully, with the <br />house to house curbside pickup, this campaign will be more <br />successful. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />The Motion was voted on and carried <br />unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF OUT -OF -COUNTY -TRAVEL FOR COMMISSIONERS TO ATTEND <br />FLORIDA SHORE & BEACH PRESERVATION CONFERENCE <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Scurlock, the <br />Board unanimously approved out -of -county <br />travel for the Commissioners, and any <br />appropriate member of the administrative <br />staff, to attend the Florida Shore & Beach. <br />Preservation Association Conference to be <br />held.in Boca Raton on September 28-30, 1983. <br />25 <br />AUG 17 1983 <br />L <br />K PAGE k <br />
