S E P 7 1983 <br />PAGE <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Scurlock, the <br />Board unanimously closed the Public <br />Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wodtke, the <br />Board unanimously agreed to redesignate <br />2.55 acres , Lot 17, A. A. Berry Subdivision,` <br />to Industrial, as requested by A. Grover <br />Fletcher. <br />DISCUSSION RE ABANDONMENT OF ROAD IN AMBERSAND SUBDIVISION <br />Due to the fact that Gordon B. Johnston, attorney <br />representing the owner of the property in question, was not <br />aware that this item was on today's Agenda, it was agreed to <br />table the item until the next meeting of September 21. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, the <br />Board unanimously tabled the above item <br />until the Regular Meeting of 9/21/83.. <br />DISCUSSION RE CONTRACTORS LICENSING & TESTING, AND <br />OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES <br />Commissioner Wodtke reported on the matter of <br />contractors' licensing and testing, and occupational <br />licensing. He recommended that the licensing process be <br />reviewed and asked Administrator Wright to prepare a file on <br />what is being done in St. Lucie and other surrounding <br />counties. As it stands now, contractors are able to say <br />they are air conditioning contractors, or heating <br />contractors, etc., by just taking out a license and paying a <br />fee. He felt that these contractors should come under the <br />40 <br />
