SEP 7 1983 - . 5A OR <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bowman, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, that the <br />Board approve Alternate #1 of staff recom- <br />mendation to pave.200'OL.F. of Josie Street <br />in Roseland with Type III asphalt at a cost <br />of $28,000. <br />Under discussion, Director Davis explained that because <br />of the emergency vehicles using Josie Street, he recommended <br />paving the road with double surface paving for the extra <br />cost of $5,000, Type III asphalt. <br />Commissioner Wodtke questioned the roughness of the new <br />double surface treatment, and Jim Davis explained that the <br />condition will wear off after traffic wears down the <br />aggregate. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />The Motion carried unanimously. <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY TRACKING STATION RECREATIONAL AREA, <br />AWARD OF BIDS - DIVISION III - LANDSCAPING <br />The Board.reviewed the following memo dated 8/26/83 <br />TO: The Honorable Members of the DATE: August 26, 1983 F1 <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Michael Wright, <br />County Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Indian River County Tracking Station <br />Recreational Area, Award of Bids - <br />Division III - Landscaping. <br />FROM: James w.
