Director Barton then reviewed the proposed 1983-,84 <br />budget noting that in November of 1982, voters <br />overwhelmingly authorized the issuance of $5,000,000 <br />obligation bonds to pay for beach acquisition. .This <br />upcoming budget year will be the first year that taxpayers <br />will be paying on them, and, therefore, to compare last <br />year's budget and the proposed budget accurately, it is <br />necessary to deduct the amount budgeted for the beach bonds <br />from the total. Although the total revenues for the County <br />are higher this year than last year, our federal and state <br />sources are not at the level they were a year ago and our <br />cash carry forward is considerably less. <br />Chairman Bird believed that, excluding the Beach Bond <br />issue, we are considering a budget increase of 6/10 of 1% <br />over last year, and Director Barton concurred. <br />The proposed budget for the General Fund, <br />Transportation Fund, Municipal Service Taxing Unit, and <br />Beach Acquisition Bonds, is as follows: <br />2 <br />
