Approval to Expend Funds - Landfill <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 9/19/83: <br />TO: Honorable Members of the Board DATE: September 19, 1983 FILE: <br />of County Commissioners <br />THRJ: Terrance G. Pinto' SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO EXPEND FUNDS <br />Utilities Directo <br />FROM: Jos h A. Baird REFERENCES: <br />Administrative Manager <br />The. Landfill's 'Borrow Pit Pump" requires major repairs at an estimate cost <br />of $10,000 to $15,000. Before these funds can be expended from the Renewal <br />and Replacment account, it is required in Section 15B(5) of the Landfill <br />bond covenants that prior approval must be gotten from Post Buckley, Schuh & <br />Jernigan, Inc., and the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Attached is a copy of Post Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan's letter of approval, <br />and Section 15B(5) of the bond covenants. <br />We recommend the Board follow the decision of the Landfill's administration <br />and engineers, Post Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc., in approving these <br />funds to be expended. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, the <br />Board unanimously approved the expenditure <br />of funds from the Renewal and Replacement <br />account for major repairs to the "Borrow Pit <br />Pump" at the Indian River County Sanitary <br />Landfill. <br />ANNUAL REPORT-- URBAN FORESTER <br />Paul Palmiotto, Urban Forester, presented his Annual <br />Report to the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Lyons felt that Mr. Palmiotto was a great <br />asset to the County and expressed appreciation of his fine <br />achievements. <br />Vice Chairman Scurlock advised Mr. Palmiotto that if <br />9 <br />W <br />
