� NOV 16 1983 <br />#86K ur' 5PAGE 411 <br />Pat Flood, Mayor of Sebastian, introduced Tish <br />Whitfield, acting Mayor for the student "take-over" day to <br />read the City of Sebastian Resolution supporting the <br />application of Helene Holding Company. <br />Ms. Whitfield read the following Resolution: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 3-2. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, <br />FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION OF <br />HELENE HOLDING CO. TO AMEND THE INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN <br />MAP AND ZONING MAP TO PERMIT INDUSTRIAL <br />DEVELOPMENT ON A SITE LOCATED ON CR 512 <br />AND EAST OF I-95, NEAR FELLSMERE, FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, the Helene Holding Company, on behalf of <br />a major technological/electronics corporation presently <br />doing business in the State of Florida, has applied to <br />the Indian River County to amend its comprehensive land <br />use plan map and zoning map to permit the construction <br />of an industrial`plant on a site located on CR 512 and east <br />of Interstate 95, near Fellsmere, Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, the communities that make up Indian River <br />County have had and continue to have one -of the highest <br />unemployment rates in the State of Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council finds and determines that this <br />County urgently needs high quality, clean, light industry <br />to establish manufacturing in the county; and <br />WHEREAS, the application of Helene Holding Company <br />indicates that if granted, its client will construct and <br />operate a computer assembly plant at the proposed site, and <br />that the site will be sufficiently large so as to provide <br />for expansion; and <br />WHEREAS, the application indicates that when con- <br />structed the plant will not cause harmful pollution to the <br />environment; and <br />103 <br />L-2 <br />r <br />
