WHEREAS, the construction and operation of this <br />plant will provide much needed employment opportunities for <br />people of our communities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA, as follows: <br />- 1. The Council fully supports the application <br />of Helene Holding Company to amdnd the Indian River <br />Comprehensive Plan and Map and Zoning Map to permit <br />industrial development on a site located on County Road <br />512, ea -St of Interstate 95, near Fellsmere, Florida. <br />2. The Council urges the Indian River County <br />Planning and Zoning Commission and the Indian River County <br />Commission to amend the comprehensive plan and maps to <br />permit industrial development to occur at the proposed <br />site. <br />THIS RESOLUTION was passed by the City Council <br />of the City of Sebastian, Florida, on the/066 day <br />of (�%[' r�h� ,1983. <br />Mayor,City- of -Sebastian, ori a <br />Mayor Flood commented that while he did have some <br />doubts and reservations, especially as to why the company <br />kept their name secret, he did visit their existing plant <br />and was quite impressed and can understand why they want a <br />large site. Mayor Flood believed the proposed plant would <br />be a big asset not only to his community but to the county <br />as a whole and hoped the Commission would vote in favor of <br />their request. <br />Ms. Pat Lambert, President of Sebastian River Area <br />Chamber of Commerce, presented petitions with 1,132 <br />signatures of citizens who support the concept of Helene <br />Holding Company. <br />Sample of the petition is as follows and the originals <br />are on file in the Office of the Clerk: <br />104 <br />wov 161983 s� *A* <br />L <br />
