FF"-- I <br />IOIP 1 6' 1983 010K U 'PAcE.4 5 <br />ITEM 1 - Time Extension <br />The following list contains several items noted as.reasons for requesting the <br />time extension in Change Order No. 4: <br />1. Additional fill provided at the Fire Booster Station to meet required <br />elevations. <br />2. The installation of underground electrical service in lieu of overhead <br />at the Potable Water Booster Station, Fire Booster Station and elevated <br />tank ( Change Order No. 1). <br />3. Excessive dewatering for the underground piping at the Potable Water <br />Booster Station tie-in to existing 12 waterline. <br />4. Delays in receiving major equipment (pumps and auxiliary engines). <br />5. Defects in the glue in the plywood roof sheathing requiring roof to be <br />removed and replaced at the Potable Water Booster Station. <br />6. Unfavorable weather conditions (ie: rain delays). <br />RECONSIDERATION OF CONSENT AGENDA ITEM - BUDGET AMENDMENT <br />FOR DATA PROCESSING, IBM 8YSTEM/38 <br />Finance Director Ed Fry explained to the Board that <br />when they ordered this equipment for expansion, they based <br />it on components needed for the last expansion. However, <br />when IBM presented the final bill, there were two additional <br />components needed. Mr. Fry continued that if these <br />additional components are removed, it will be necessary to <br />start deleting CRTs from the systema When the budget was <br />drawn up for the Clerk's Office, the need for a third work <br />station controller was anticipated as the Budget Office and <br />the Supervisor of Elections were brought on the system, as <br />well as some work for the Utilities Department and the <br />Sheriff. <br />Commissioner Wodtke commented that it would seem that <br />somewhere along the line IBM would have spelled out what <br />equipment would be required for the expansion, and if we do <br />any further expansion, he felt that IBM should give us a <br />written quote. <br />Finance Director Fry stated that they did learn about <br />this before the end of the fiscal year, but not until the <br />budget hearings were over. They had thought since it would <br />be in the budget for this year, they would come back with <br />136 <br />
