December 7, 1983 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida met in Regular Session at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Wednesday, December 7, 1983, at 8:30 o'clock A.M. <br />Present were Richard N. Bird, Chairman; Don C. Scurlock, <br />Jr., Vice Chairman; Margaret C. Bowman, Patrick B. Lyons, <br />and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also present were L.S. "Tommy" <br />Thomas, Community Services Director; Michael J. Wright, <br />County Administrator; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney to the <br />Board of County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, -OMB <br />Director; Lt. Dean Longo, Bailiff; Barbara Bonnah and <br />Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerks <br />Chairman Bird called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Tom Bates, First Church of God, gave the <br />invocation and Commissioner Bowman led the `Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Administrator Wright requested the addition to <br />today's Agenda of the following four items: <br />DEC 7 1983 <br />1) Discussion re the relocation of the steel pole on <br />8th Street. <br />2) Brief report and request for action re the <br />telephone situation in the Administrative Complex. <br />3) Brief report and request for funds from the Welfare <br />Dept. for the Christmas food program. <br />fax <br />
