Approval of Time Extension for Relocation of House <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 12/12/83: <br />TO: The Honorable Members DATE: December 12, 1983 FILE: <br />of the Board of County <br />Commissioners <br />DIVISION HEAD CONCURRENCE: EXTENSION OF 1 YEAR TIME <br />LIMIT FOR DEL <br />SUBJECT: HOUSE RELOCATIONS SAMSON <br />' 8095 130TH STREET <br />ROSELAND, FLORIDA <br />Robert M. Keati-Ang, CP <br />Planning & Develop ent Director <br />/C�ttw <br />FROM: -Betty Davis : Req -/Samson <br />REFERENCES <br />Code Enforcement Officer DIS:CDENF <br />It is requested that the following information be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting on December 21, 1983. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />On November 22, 1982, the County Zoning Department approved the <br />house relocation site _plan and bond, submitted by Deloris <br />Samson, to relocate and bring into compliance with the Standard <br />Building Code and all applicable zoning 'regulations an 868 <br />square foot residential building at 8095 130th Street. A one <br />year time limit for completion of the project was a condition <br />of the approval, with forfeiture of the bond possible if the <br />project was not completed in the required time frame. <br />On May 25, 1983, Ms. Samson sold the -subject property, Lots 1 <br />and 2, Block 21, Townsites of Roseland, to Mr. Frank L. Martin <br />and Lola. V. Martin. The present owners were not aware that the <br />house relocation had to be completed by November 22, 1983, the <br />expiration of the 1 year time limit, and they are now request- <br />ing a 4 month extension to the required 1 year time limit, as <br />referenced in Section 25(nj(2), which reads as follows: <br />The purpose of the bond or other security is to guarantee <br />compliance in full. within one year with the applicable <br />requirements of the Southern Standard Building Code and of <br />these Zoning Ordinances and to restore. any public or <br />private property damaged while the building or structure <br />is being moved. Failure to fully comply within one year <br />as above stated, will result in forfeiture of the bond to <br />the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />On November 18, 1983 the County Planning and Development <br />Department received a renewal of the $8,000 Samson house <br />relocation bond.
