Commissioner Lyons believed that 4th Place was a real <br />hazard. He felt that 4th Street is the main traffic carrier <br />and that it is in the best interests of everyone to make 4th <br />Street a better through street by making it a straight shot. <br />Commissioner Wodtke also believed that this will be a <br />safer railroad crossing than the one at 4th Place, and <br />Chairman Scurlock explained that the Transportation Com- <br />mittee does a real in-depth analysis to try to develop a <br />plan to move traffic through the whole county. <br />The Chairman determined that no one else wished to <br />be heard. <br />JAN 18 1984 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />(4-0) closed the public hearing. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />(4-0) adopted Resolution 84-3 abandoning and <br />closing the 4th Place Florida East Coast <br />Railway Company crossing and authorized staff <br />to proceed with the project as outlined. <br />78 - Boo 55 Poc 883 <br />
