Administrator Wright felt it is general practice to
accept roads brought up to county standards.
Chairman Scurlock noted that apparently Director Davis
is saying we don't have the in-house capacity of going out
and designing the road, bidding it, monitoring it, etc., and
Director Davis confirmed that he did not feel we can take
this on without our present program suffering. Bird noted that we all..have a responsi-
bility to maintain the main road system in the county, but
this is a deadend road serving only a few residents.
Mr. Wiggins commented that the county does not maintain
either his drainage ditch or this road, and he does not feel
52
7984
