MAR 7 1984 <br />Boa 56 �aGE <br />Mr. Schlitt further noted that utilities are very close so <br />there is a very small offsite cost needed to bring in the <br />utilities. <br />Commissioner Bird asked if the Housing Authority has <br />the authority to negotiate price and purchase the property <br />themselves. <br />Mr. Regan stated that the Housing Authority does have <br />the authority to purchase and the repayment of loans is <br />their responsibility, but they do need to indicate to the <br />Department of Community Affairs that the governing Board is <br />in accord with what they are doing. <br />Commissioner Wodtke noted that one of the provisions in <br />the Special Act creating the Housing Authority was that the <br />Commission has to give approval of the project. <br />Commissioner Bird inquired about the Housing <br />Authority's guidelines for purchasing property, and Mr. <br />Regan explained that they have had the property appraised <br />and forwarded the appraisal to the state. Access to <br />utilities is another requirement. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be <br />heard. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Bird believed that we all recognize the <br />need for this type of project. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 84-19 approv- <br />ing the proposed multifamily residential <br />54 <br />
