A <br />s <br />.A <br />APR <br />discussed it with the applicant, he wondered if we could ask_ <br />the applicant's attorney today for approval to insert a <br />clause in the franchise that would address wastewater in <br />exactly the same manner as it does water. <br />Chairman Scurlock felt that the County's main concern <br />was to supply water to that area. He emphasized that only <br />so much can be done at once, and advised that he and staff <br />would be coming back to the Board at a later date with <br />specific recommendations for wastewater. <br />Chairman Scurlock opened the Public Hearing and asked <br />if anyone wished to be heard in this matter. <br />Sam Block, attorney representing the applicant, <br />Realcor-Vero Beach Associates, agreed with Director Pinto <br />that similar provisions for wastewater should be included in <br />the franchise. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board <br />unanimously (4-0) closed the Public Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Lyons, the Board <br />unanimously (4-0) adopted Resolution 84-24, <br />establishing a franchise for Countryside <br />Water & Wastewater System; with a modification <br />to include the same language for wastewater as <br />for water. <br />45 <br />BOOK 56 FAGE557 <br />
