MAY 16 1984 ac0' <br />BOOK 51 <br />May 2, 1984 <br />ARTICLE 1. AUTHORIZATION OF WORK: <br />la. All work to be performed by the Consultant under this Agreement <br />shall be authorized in writing by the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners or the County Administrator as required through the <br />County's representative appointed in accordance with Article 7b <br />below. <br />lb. The authorization shall contain a description of the work to be <br />undertaken, reference to the appropriate section of this Agreement <br />for the performance of the work and reference to the appropriate <br />sedtion of this Agreement for payment of the work. Further, the <br />authorization shall contain a budget amount of the fee to be paid <br />based upon the applicable method for calculating the fee, and such <br />budget amount shall not be exceeded unless prior written approval <br />and an increase in funds available are provided by the County. In <br />the event the County does not approve a revised budget and <br />additional funding, and the need for such action is not shown to <br />be the fault of the Consultant, then the authorization shall be <br />terminated and the Consultant shall be paid in full for all work <br />performed to that point. <br />lc. The form and format of the budget described in Article lb above <br />shall be in sufficient detail so as to. identify the various <br />elements of cost and shall be subject to the approval of the <br />County. <br />ld. The authorization may contain additional provisions specific to <br />the authorized work for the purpose of expanding upon certain <br />aspects of this Agreement pertinent to the work to be undertaken. <br />Such supplemental instruction or provision shall not be construed <br />as a modification of this Agreement. <br />le. Authorizations shall be dated and serially numbered.. <br />ARTICLE 2. CONSULTING SERVICES: <br />The Consultant agrees to provide continuing consulting, review and <br />advisory services. <br />ARTICLE 3. STUDY AND REPORT SERVICES: <br />The Consultant agrees to conduct engineering investigations and <br />studies and to prepare engineering reports and cost estimates <br />pertaining to specific assignments as may be authorized by the <br />County from time -to -time. <br />ARTICLE 4. PROJECT DESIGN SERVICES: <br />4a. The Consultant agrees to prepare detailed construction drawings, <br />specifications and contract documents suitable for inviting <br />construction bids. for such projects as may be authorized by the <br />County. <br />4b.
