JUN 6 1984 Boa 57 PAGE388 <br />Chairman Scurlock inquired if the property would be <br />transferred by lease or whether title would be conveyed to <br />the Progressive Civic League, and Commissioner Bird felt <br />they would need something to enable them to show possession <br />to be permanent enough to warrant financing. <br />Discussion ensued as to a reverter clause, and <br />Commissioner Bird explained that there will be reverters in <br />the agreement with Indian River Shores, and we, in turn, <br />will have to pass those reverters along to whatever entity <br />we turn this over to. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />authorized Commissioner Bird to continue to work <br />along the lines just reviewed and instructed the <br />County Attorney to work with the Indian River <br />Shores attorney to accomplish the conveyance of <br />the above property. <br />COUNTYWIDE RECREATION STUDY COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Commissioner Bird noted that on today's Consent Agenda <br />additional names were added to this committee. The com- <br />mittee is continuing its research and has contacted other <br />counties; they are working with the School Board and <br />identifying school sites and existing recreational sites, <br />etc., Commissioner Bird hoped in the next three to four <br />months to have a recommendation as to how the Committee <br />feels recreation can be improved in the county to provide <br />more equitable recreation opportunities. <br />GOLF COURSE FEASIBILITY STUDY COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Commissioner Bird informed the Board that as of <br />yesterday, the Committee has acquired a little over $4,000 <br />towards the payment for a feasibility study.
