All of the applicable standards will <br />be maintained to make the range safe, environmentally acceptable and aesthetically <br />acceptable to the surrounding area. <br />The firing range project will be built with in-house labor and minimal <br />financial assistance from the Fraternal Order of Police. Sheriff Tim Dobeck <br />and Arthur Sheeren are in agreement as to the needs of the pistol range. The <br />Oslo Prison range is currently used for firearms qualifications. <br />There is no location available for use of practice firing for deputies, <br />the Fraternal Order of Police or other County employees. Upon the Indian River <br />County Commissioners approval of this project, Sheriff Dobeck and Arthur Sheeren <br />will appoint members to the board of directors. When you appoint the third <br />member, the project development will commence immediately.
