the ability of the fire department and ambulance squad to <br />access the road to serve those residents. <br />Administrator Wright and Commissioner Bowman thought <br />that we would be setting a precedent if the County began <br />paving roads that are unique. <br />Attorney Brandenburg commented that the County would be <br />looking to these residents for their assistance in obtaining <br />the right- of -way. <br />Mr. Wiggins reported that there is an individual who <br />will never give the right-of-way, and Attorney Brandenburg <br />explained that condemnation would require a couple of <br />appraisals and is a complicated process. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />The Motion was voted on and carried <br />unanimously (4-0). <br />Attorney Brandenburg explained that one of the things <br />that.makes this road unique is that it is identified in the <br />Community Block Grant Program and the County already has <br />identified this area as being a prime area for improvement. <br />Administrator Wright felt that we could maintain the <br />road before paving it, if the road is legally ours. He just <br />wanted the Commissioners to be aware of all the roads in the <br />western part of the County that also might be classified as <br />unique. <br />Attorney Brandenburg repeated his belief that the <br />general public has established a right-of-way by the fact <br />that it has been using these roads for the last 25 years. <br />Mr. Wiggins noted that this is the rainy season and the <br />road is in terrible shape. <br />JUL 111984 57 PmGE 674 <br />
