Roland Aberle, Phd. <br />Bob Knight <br />Ralph Lundy <br />Patrick Lyons <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />(4-0) appointed those listed above to the <br />Overall Economic Development Plan Committee. <br />DISCUSS UTILITY ASSESSMENT - CITY OF VERO BEACH <br />Assistant County Attorney Paull informed the Board that <br />this item was added to today's agenda because the County <br />received a letter from the City of Vero Beach notifying us <br />there would be a public hearing on a sewer line they are <br />putting in on South Beach on Ocean Drive. The County is a <br />2/5 owner of the four lots which involve South Beach Park. <br />In terms of dollars, our assessment for 400 of those lots <br />would amount to about $8,000. <br />Attorney Paull continued that Intergovernmental <br />Relations Director Thomas has done a great deal of research <br />and found numerous discussions in the Minutes relating to <br />the acquisition of these properties, which made it quite <br />clear that the County would only participate in their <br />purchase to the extent of $200,000 and not at all in any <br />development costs or closing costs, etc. Attorney Paull <br />noted that there was a previous paving assessment on Ocean <br />53 <br />JUL 1 R 1984 - Boox 57 FACE 766 <br />I <br />
