he did not feel we can provide sufficient buffering in an <br />area already established with fine single family homes. <br />OMB Director Barton emphasized that he felt he had a <br />responsibility to bring this possibility to the Board for <br />consideration and he just wished their direction whether to <br />pursue it or not. <br />Commissioner Wodtke thanked Mr. Barton for bringing <br />this to the Board's attention, but stated that the only way <br />he would consider getting involved would be if the property <br />does not sell at auction. In that event, he felt we should <br />work with the GSA to be sure it is properly disposed of so <br />that it does not become a public eyesore. <br />It was agreed the Board did not wish to pursue the <br />matter further at this time. <br />DATE FOR FINAL BUDGET HEARING <br />OMB Director Barton reported that the first public <br />hearing on the Budget is set for the evening of Septem- <br />ber 12th. After that meeting, ads must be placed setting <br />out the dollar amounts of all budgets and the date of the <br />final hearing, which must be within fifteen days of the <br />first hearing.
