AUG <br />2 2 194 <br />BOOK.8 f;"G-1100 <br />I' <br />-A983/84 ROAD RESURFACING PROGRAM( <br />Public Works Director James Davis reported that we have <br />approximately 40 days left in this fiscal year to spend the <br />1983/84 Road Resurfacing funds, and the following memo and <br />list sets out what he feels would be our priorities to <br />complete this year. <br />TO: The Honorable Members of DATE: August 21, 1984 FILE: 8/29/84 <br />the Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Michael Wright, <br />County Administrator SUBJECT: 1983/84 Road Resurfacing Program <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E. REFERENCES: <br />Public Works Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />As approved during the FY 83/84 Budget Hearings held in July, <br />1983, $200,000 was approved in Account No. 004-214-541-35.39 <br />for Other Road Materials. The unencumbered balance of this <br />account on August 20, 1984 was $114,000. Outstanding bills for <br />asphalt, limerock, concrete, sod, etc. amount to approximately <br />$24,000, thereby leaving approximately $90,000 for resurfacing <br />of County paved roads. Furthermore, there is approximately <br />$29,000 available in the FY 83/84 budget that can be line <br />transferred for resurfacing. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The attached road resurfacing program list is presented for <br />approval. A map is on display in the County Commissioners office <br />for your review. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />Recommend that the subject program be approved and that <br />Dickerson, Inc. be authorized to resurface the roads on the <br />attached list. Funding in the amount of $109,941 be from <br />Account No. 004-214-541-35.39 and other Road and Bridge <br />Deaprtment budgeted funds. <br />64 <br />
