BRANDENBU G <br />nty Attor <br />IOTRANSPORTATION PLANNING COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Commissioner Lyons reviewed the following Summary: <br />TRANSPORTATION PLANNING COMMITTEE <br />Summary of Actions <br />August 14, 1984 <br />1. County Road 507 Realignment: <br />The Committee recommended to include in the five-year plan, <br />the realignment of CR507 through Fellsmere to Myrtle Street, <br />due to anticipated future traffic. <br />2. Intersection Study - 20th Avenue at 8th Street: <br />The Committee accepted staff recommendation to improve <br />intersection -safety: <br />a. Southern Bell to relocate telephone boxes,, <br />b. prohibit parking along the northwest corner, and <br />c. work to relocate vegetation out of the right-of-way <br />on the northeast corner. <br />3. Intersection Study - 26th Street at 43rd Avenue: <br />The Committee accepted staff recommendation to maintain <br />existing two-way stop control due to insufficient traffic <br />volumes or recent accident history to warrant either a <br />four-way stop or signalization. <br />4. School Speed Reduction Beacons: <br />The Committee selected three school sites for installation <br />of beacons during FY 84-85. These are Citrus Elementary, <br />Middle 6/7 and Sebastian River Middle. <br />5. Signalization - 41st Street at 43rd Avenue: <br />The Committee directed staff to install the planned traffic <br />signal as soon as possible, using FY 83-84 funds. <br />92 <br />� � r <br />
