Acknowledgment of the Department of State of the State of <br />Florida this 17th day of September , 1984. <br />Effective Date: Acknowledgment from the Department of State <br />received on this 21st day of September , 1984, at 11:00 <br />A.M./P.M. and filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida. <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM AND <br />LEGAL SUFFICIENCY. <br />, County <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING OLD WINTER BEACH ROAD AS SCENIC AND <br />HISTORIC TRAIL <br />Assistant County Attorney James Wilson briefly reviewed <br />the background of Old Winter Beach Road. In 1962 the County <br />relinquished to the Town of Indian River Shores the <br />maintenance and supervision of all County roads situated <br />with the boundaries of the town. Recently, some concern has <br />arisen about Old Winter Beach Road, and a resolution has <br />been prepared asking that the Town of Indian River Shores <br />resolve to keep the road open and accessible to the public <br />and that the town adopt a resolution recognizing the <br />historical importance of the Old Winter Beach Road and the <br />Bridgehead Property. He believed there were some people in <br />attendance who also wished to speak on this matter. <br />Commissioner Bird asked if we had any indication from <br />Indian River Shores that they are agreeable to this, and <br />Attorney Brandenburg explained that this resolution is more <br />than a request; it is a statement that the County owns the <br />road and intends to maintain, control or supervise the road <br />if the Town of Indian River Shores should ever decide not to <br />do so. <br />Administrator Wright stated that in his conversations <br />with Town Manager Joe Dorsky, it appears the Town of Indian <br />30 <br />SEP 12 1984 soe� 58 F,: CE 264 <br />
