SEP 19 1954 BOOK 58 pg F fI <br />,6 <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, that the <br />Board deny the Holme's request for another <br />rezoning hearing on the grounds outlined today <br />by the County Attorney. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Wodtke recalled that in "" <br />the 10 years he has been a commissioner he has not missed <br />more than3 or 4 regularly scheduled meetings and apologized <br />for not being in attendance at the meeting of September 5th. <br />He noted, however, that the Board now meets weekly and it is <br />difficult to guarantee that a full Board will be.present at <br />all the meetings for reasons of illness, family crisis, or <br />being out of town on County business. <br />Commissioner Lyons thought that the applicant had <br />adequate time to acquire the necessary evidence before the <br />meeting of September 5th. <br />Attorney Cairns emphasized that Mr. & Mrs. Holmes were <br />out of town at the time of the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />meeting and were not aware that the matter was going to the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />Attorney Brandenburg advised that the Holmes can <br />request a rezoning of the .8 acres in 12 months and <br />explained that provision also applies to County -initiated <br />requests. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
