-OCT 10 1994 <br />BOOK 58 F'. cE5'89 <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 84-70 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE ZONING CODE, <br />ORDINANCE 71-3 AS AMENDED, KNOWN AS APPENDIX A--ZONING-- <br />OF THE CODE OF LAWS AND ORDINANCES OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />PERTAINING TO FRUIT AND VEGETABLE JUICE EXTRACTION AND <br />PROCESSING OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES; CREATING DEFINITIONS; <br />ESTABLISHING FRUIT AND VEGETABLE JUICE EXTRACTION AS A <br />SPECIAL EXCEPTION USE IN THE HEAVY COMMERCIAL, LIGHT <br />MANUFACTURING, AND RESTRICTED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS; <br />ESTABLISHING FRUIT AND VEGETABLE PROCESSING AS A SPECIAL <br />EXCEPTION USE IN THE RESTRICTED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; <br />REDESIGNATING THE LETTERING AND NUMBERING OF PARAGRAPHS <br />AND SUB -PARAGRAPHS OF THE LIGHT MANUFACTURING DISTRICT; <br />CODIFICATION; SEVERABILITY; REPEAL OF CONFLICTING <br />PROVISIONS; AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />SECTION 1 <br />Section 2 of Ordinance 71-3, as amended is hereby amended <br />to read as follows: <br />SECTION 2 DEFINITIONS <br />FRUIT & VEGETABLE JUICE EXTRACTION: An activity that entails <br />squeezing fruit or vegetables with the specific end product <br />being fruit or vegetable juice <br />FRUIT & VEGETABLE PROCESSING: An industrial activity resulting <br />in fruit or vegetables being changed from one form to another. <br />Processing will generally include subprocesses such as the <br />addition of other• substances and will result in specific <br />products such as juice concentrate, pectin, and other by- <br />products. <br />32 <br />
