The Sheriff's Auxiliary <br />will also be used in this Marine and Beach Unit. We presently <br />have one unit that we use, but he is unable to give the necessary <br />coverage two units could give the County. This is due to the <br />increase in recreational areas, both County and private. <br />The need for a River Patrol and Beach Patrol (ATC) is needed on a <br />full time basis. Two units could give the river, spoil islands <br />and beach area a full time officer, seven days a week and along <br />with the Auxiliary officers, the Sheriff's Department should be <br />able to cope with the ever increasing problems that come with the <br />water and recreational areas. <br />Attached is a breakdown of the cost of the project. <br />Sincerely, <br />M.
