OCT 17 1984 <br />_I <br />BOOK 158 P,,cr 65 6 <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bowman, that the <br />request for rezoning to C-lA be denied on <br />the basis this is primarily a residential <br />neighborhood and commercial would be out of <br />place. <br />Commissioner Wodtke stated that he felt this is a great <br />opportunity to provide some quality commercial for the area, and <br />it seems there is no one here from this area speaking in opposi- <br />tion except the School Board. <br />Chairman Scurlock again emphasized his main problem is the <br />traffic, and the fact is that the school is located there; it is <br />going to expand; and it will not go away. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION to <br />deny the rezoning. It was voted on and <br />carried 3 to 2 with Commissioners Bird <br />and Wodtke voting in opposition. <br />DISCUSS COST OF MARINE AND BEACH PATROL UNIT - SHERIFF <br />Sheriff Dobeck came before the Board to review the request <br />set out in the following letter and attachments: <br />22 <br />
