They would <br />like the Board's permission -to pursue this. <br />In further discussion, the Board members generally agreed <br />that this proposal seems to have great potential. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the staff and the County Attorney <br />to negotiate with Cambrian Energy Systems and <br />come back with a contract to allow testing <br />procedures to take place as discussed. <br />ENGINEERING CONTRACT FOR SR 60 SEWER FORCE MAIN <br />Utility Services Pinto reviewed the following memo: <br />TO: The Honorable Members of thOATE: October 12, 1984 FILE: <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Michael Wright <br />County Administrator SUBJECT' SOUTHWEST REGIONAL WASTEWATER <br />SYSTEM - DESIGN & ENGINEERING <br />FROM: Terrance G. Pinto REFERENCES: A) Work Authorization <br />Utility Services Director #002-10/10/84 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION: <br />Attached as Exhibit "A" is the work authorization for Carter & Associates/ <br />Williams, Hatfield & Stoner to engineer and design the wastewater force <br />main and collection system for the Route 60 area. <br />The system will be designed to collect wastewater from the same general <br />area of Rt. 60 as the new waterline is serving. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSES: <br />The treatment plant design will be handled in a separate proposal. <br />FUNDING: <br />Funds for the design have been prepaid by those requesting the service. <br />RF'('nmmP.MnATT0N <br />Staff recommends the Board authorize the Chairman to execute the <br />work authorization #002. <br />44 <br />
