Ix,84 ��� <br />B00K 58 PAGE 700 <br />requested the Administrator to come back to <br />the Board with recommendations for.appointees <br />to the local Technical Coordinating Committee. <br />OUT -OF -COUNTY TRAVEL - RATE SEMINAR <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />approved out -of -County travel for Chairman <br />Scurlock and appropriate staff members to <br />attend the Twelfth Annual Eastern Utility <br />Rate Seminar to be held in Fort Lauderdale <br />October 22-26, 1984. <br />REPORT ON MEDICAL EXAMINER <br />Commissioner Lyons reported that he and Attorney Brandenburg <br />traveled to Tallahassee to appear personally at the State Medical <br />Examiners Board meeting. He continued that the Board accepted <br />the formal complaint made by States Attorney Stone and also <br />recognized the presence of himself, Attorney Brandenburg, and St. <br />Lucie County Commissioner Sherry King as being there to back up <br />the complaint. Although they did not have the opportunity to <br />speak at the meeting, Commissioner Lyons felt the trip was <br />worthwhile in that it demonstrated that we felt very strongly <br />about this situation. Commissioner Lyons stated that he did want <br />to get a copy of a letter he wrote to Attorney Stone on October <br />5th into the hands of the chairman of that board. To do that he <br />would like to write the Chairman thanking him for accepting the <br />complaint and for the promise that he would investigate, and with <br />that letter, enclose a copy of the letter he wrote States <br />Attorney Stone setting out the history of the whole situation <br />with Dr. Walker. Commissioner Lyons requested that the <br />Commission endorse this letter as an official statement from the <br />Commission rather than just his letter to Attorney Stone so that <br />64 <br />
