Brooks REFERENCES: <br />Environmental Engineering <br />Specialist/Utility Services <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />There is substantial interest and financial support .for construction <br />of a subregional wastewater treatment facility serving the State <br />Road 60 corridor and surrounding area. We are now at the stage <br />I where the facility needs to be designed and all required construction <br />permits obtained. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />The Board of County Commissioners must approve any expenditure of <br />funds for the design of the proposed wastewater facility. Since <br />the proposed subregional facility appears to be a feasible endeavor, <br />the County needs to actively proceed towards construction of the <br />facility to accomodate the rapid growth along the State Road 60 <br />corridor. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners authorize <br />the Division of Utility Services to advertise for bids and obtain <br />the services of an engineering firm to design a subregional wastewater <br />treatment facility for the State Road 60 corridor and obtain all <br />required construction permits. <br />75 <br />N O V 21 1984 <br />
