7_ J <br />Ed Schlitt inquired about the County enclaves in Indian <br />River Shores and Attorney Brandenburg confirmed they would be <br />treated in the same manner as they are now. <br />Mrs. Lier asked how this would affect Bay Tree, and Attorney <br />Brandenburg explained that they have already received all their <br />development approvals for their current project and this ordinance <br />would not apply. In respect to the traffic count, it would <br />remain in the same zone. <br />Chairman Scurlock stressed that the planning workshops will <br />address any and all possible solutions to these problems. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />adopted Resolution 84-101, providing for the <br />suspension of development approval reviews until <br />such time as the County considers an interim <br />moratorium to enable the full evaluation of the <br />effects of such development on the fragile <br />environment of Orchid Island. <br />Attorney Brandenburg suggested that we immediately take <br />out a one-half page newspaper advertisement indicating the <br />County's intention to adopt this ordinance on a certain date and <br />then follow up with the normal advertising procedure. This would <br />alert any developers who might not have heard about a possible <br />moratorium. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />authorized staff to advertise for a public hearing <br />on the moratorium ordinance. <br />BOOK - 9 PAGE 69 <br />I <br />
