DEC 19 194 <br />BOOK 59 FAGE279- <br />Commissioner Bird recalled the past history of the <br />Sheriff's request for developing a qualification range and <br />making it available to the public on some type of supervised, <br />limited basis. He stated that he has received a lot of input <br />from local people who are interested in this possibility and <br />mentioned that Bill Stegkemper has suggested that the County <br />form a sub -committee of the Parks & Recreation Committee to work <br />with staff and the Board on this matter. Commissioner Bird <br />recommended the formation of such a committee with himself <br />acting as chairman, and the appointment of the six individuals <br />listed in the above letter. In addition, he wished to recommend <br />the appointment of Fritz Gierhart and Reed Knight, Jr. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />established a sub -committee and appointed <br />the individuals as recommended by Commissioner Bird; <br />`COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS <br />Commissioner Bird reported that Don Finney of Planning had <br />suggested the installation of two street lights while <br />construction is still under way. One light would be installed <br />at the corner of Kings Highway and Hobart Road and the other <br />would be at the entrance to the Fairgrounds. <br />ON'MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the installation by Florida Power & <br />Light of two street lights at the County Fairgrounds; <br />the cost to come out of of the Parks & <br />Recreation budget. <br />57 <br />
