Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />DESCRIPTION & CONDITIONS <br />Valid petitions have been received from at least 66.7% of the <br />property owners of the following streets <br />1) 1st Street between 27th and 32nd Avenues (preliminary <br />cost $37,168.00) 71% Consenting; <br />2) 3rd Street between 18th and 20th Avenues (preliminary <br />cost $14,273.00) 75% Consenting; <br />3) 19th Avenue between 2nd and 4th Streets (preliminary <br />cost $31,643.00) 69% Consenting; <br />4) 46th Avenue between 8th Street and 9th Place <br />(preliminary cost $24,588.00) 66.7% Consenting; <br />5) 51st Avenue 12601± North of Walker Avenue <br />(preliminary cost $31,612.00) 74% Consenting. <br />Preliminary assessment rolls have been prepared for the paving <br />and drainage improvements. The total costs of these projects <br />is approximately $139,284. There is approximately $267,489.24 <br />in the FY 84/85 budget for Petition Paving, Account NO. <br />703-214-541-35.39. <br />Also advertisement of the Public Hearing and notifications to <br />the property owners has been performed. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />After consideration of the public input provided at the Public. <br />Hearing, it is recommended that motions be made to <br />1) adopt resolutions, providing for the paving and <br />drainage improvements for each petition paving <br />project, subject to the terms outlined in the <br />Resolutions. The applicable interest rate shall be <br />1% over the prime rate at the time the final <br />assessment roll is approved. <br />2) approve preliminary assessment rolls including any <br />changes made as a result of the Public Hearing. <br />3) allocate $139,284 from the Petition Paving account to <br />fund this work. <br />4) the Road and Bridge Division be notified to schedule <br />construction, probably in early -mid 1985. <br />16 <br />
