objections to the document as presented by staff, but she felt <br />she would be remiss if she did not rebut the Civic Association's <br />suggestion that the minimum size of a PRD should be at least 25 <br />acres. She would suggest, with that little faith in what we feel <br />is a good concept of clustering, which would be the least <br />intrusive development vehicle on the environment, that to make a <br />mistake on 25 acres would be worse than to make a mistake on <br />something smaller, and she would offer that the site plan <br />criteria and the special exception criteria will in itself take <br />care of whatever size is economical and to the best interests of <br />the county. <br />Mr. McKnight commented that although a developer will never <br />find an instrument such as this perfect, he would commend staff <br />and felt that it is very workable and very realistic as it is now <br />proposed. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />adopted Ordinance 85-5, Planned Residential <br />Development, as amended. <br />Ordinance 85-5 is hereby made a part of the Official Record. <br />JAN 16 1985 57 BOOK 59 Fr c <br />
