MOO 5 FW.) . 643 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously closed <br />the Public Hearing. <br />Administrator Wright noted that in addition to maintaining <br />CR -512, the County also maintains a large segment of the roads in <br />the subdivision in which the subject property is located. <br />Mr. Shearer stated that the Board has not yet adopted the <br />boundaries of the node, but the node was expanded in 1983 to <br />include Hetra Industries by connecting the existing uses. <br />Commissioner Bird felt then that we are still bound by the <br />total number of acres dedicated to the node by the Comp Plan. <br />Attorney Brandenburg confirmed that the node was expanded in <br />1983 to allow that configuration so that the Hetra property <br />conceivably could be placed in the node; the Board, however, did <br />not approve the configuration of that node other than agreeing <br />that it was the only way to stretch it over to include the Hetra <br />property. <br />Planning & Development Director Robert Keating advised that <br />they will be bringing the set acreage of all the commercial nodes <br />to the Board for formal approval in about two months. <br />Attorney O'Haire reported that real estate people in the <br />Wabasso/Sebastian area have been picking up these parcels and <br />putting them together with an anticipated commercial use in mind. <br />Mr. Shearer explained that most of the owners in Pine Lakes <br />Estates own about one acre, which is about 4 or 5 lots, and that <br />is part of the reason why the zoning has been established as <br />Country Estate. <br />Director Keating stated that it is staff's feeling that <br />there is not sufficient acreage in the node to extend it to <br />include the subject property. Staff also feels the infill <br />property has to be included because from an overall planning <br />prospective, it is not best to have this one little spot zoned <br />commercial. He advised that staff is also concerned about the <br />22 <br />
