FEB 6 1995 <br />Boas 59- <br />PROCLAMATION <br />9 <br />PROCLAMATION <br />A PROCLAMATION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA COMMENDING TOM JONES FOR HIS SERVICE <br />AS A PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSIONER. <br />WHEREAS, Tom Jones was appointed to serve on the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission of Indian River County in January, <br />1981; and <br />WHEREAS, during Tom Jones' four-year tenure on the <br />Commission, Indian River County progressed into the modern era of <br />land use planning and -control; and <br />WHEREAS, Tom Jones has contributed tirelessly, and in - <br />immeasurable quantities, to the successful development and <br />-implementation of the County's Comprehensive Land Use Plan, and to <br />the review of hundreds of zoning and development applications <br />and `= <br />WHEREAS, Tom 'Jones should be heralded in,,the future <br />as having set a standard in planning and zoning `matters for aY <br />integrity, foresight, and consistency, tempered by proper amounts <br />of compassion and common sense; and <br />t star •. <br />WHEREAS, Tom Jones will be remembered most -for having�t. <br />always stated his mind on a given proposition, in furtherance of <br />the process of responsive and democratic local government. <br />NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY 4; <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that Mr. Tom Jones <br />be hereby commended for his invaluable service and contributions <br />n to the County Planning and Zoning Commission, -and 'to .. the <br />facilitation of well-managed growth in our community. The Board, <br />of County Commissioners, on behalf of the citizens of Indian'River <br />County, hereby extends gratitude, respect and best wishes to; "Tom; <br />Jones in the future.
