I <br />BOOK 5'9 F", 14 <br />used as a residence since it was built in 1957, and the <br />surrounding area is residential in nature with the exception of <br />the Judah Fish House to the north of him. He stated that he has <br />no objection to that being Commercial, but he would like to <br />straighten out his piece of property. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously closed <br />the Public Hearing. <br />Chairman Lyons did not feel the rezoning could be called <br />spot zoning, and Planner Shearer stated that staff is <br />recommending.rezoning consistent with the Comprehensive Land Use <br />Plan. They did recommend rezoning for the entire area but could <br />not get it through the Planning & Zoning Commission, but they <br />will be looking at it further and hope to have it all <br />straightened out in a few months. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 85-08, providing for the rezoning of .25 <br />acres from C-1, Commercial District, to R-1, Single <br />Family District, as requested by John McManus. <br />25 <br />
