Environment <br />The subject property is not designated as environmentally <br />sensitive nor is it in a flood -prone area. <br />County water and' wastewater facilities are not currently <br />available for the subject property. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Based on the above analysis, if the node is enlarged to 160 <br />acres, staff recommends approval of this rezoning request. <br />Mr. Shearer further reported that the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission has had a hearing on establishing boundaries for this <br />node, and they did recommend approval of including the subject <br />property. This will be coming before the Board in a few weeks. <br />Director Keating commented that if the Commission determines <br />the subject property should be in the node, they are, in effect, <br />establishing the boundaries. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be heard. <br />Attorney Michael O'Haire spoke in favor of granting the <br />rezoning to his clients, the Poteats. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />adopted Ordinance 85-21 rezoning 20 acres west of <br />Kings Highway and south of S.R. 60 to C-1 as re- <br />quested by the Poteats. <br />41 <br />MAR 6 1985 aooK 60 1 H', 82 <br />
