Beulah Law, 2772 Cortez Avenue, stated that she owns <br />two lots in Ambersand and would like to see the island stay <br />the same; she favored the very lowest densities possible. <br />John Beranek, resident of St. Lucie County, felt that <br />the moratorium is the best solution that he has heard and <br />wished Indian River County all the luck in the world. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously closed <br />the Public Hearing. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bowman, that the Board adopt <br />Ordinance 85-22 as presented. <br />Attorney Brandenburg suggested the deletion of the <br />third whereas clause on Page 3 of the proposed ordinance <br />which contains reference to development at 3 units per acre, <br />when the HIMP actually recommended 1 unit per acre. <br />Commissioner Bird suggested the expiration date of <br />December 31, 1985 or sooner be included in the ordinance. <br />COMMISSIONERS SCURLOCK AND BOWMAN agreed to <br />modify their Motion to include the expiration date <br />of December 31, 1985 and the deletion of the <br />whereas clause recommended by the County Attorney. <br />Commissioner Wodtke wondered what our legal position <br />would be if someone asks why we didn't restrict the LD -1 <br />area. <br />Chairman Lyons felt we are saying that we do not <br />anticipate any problems in accommodating traffic in the LD -1 <br />area. <br />23 BOOK F' -F 146 <br />MAR 13 1995 <br />J <br />
