MAR <br />2 0 <br />1985 <br />BOOK <br />The Administrator <br />informed the Board that the U.S.1 Sewer <br />Group posted a $25,000 bond to cover the cost of repairing the <br />road on 14th St. They have done the majority of the work, but <br />the bond expires tomorrow. The Administrator stated that he <br />would like to reduce the bond to $5,000 and give them another 30 <br />days. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, to reduce the bond posted by <br />the U.S.1 Sewer Group to $5,000 and allow them an <br />additional 30 days as recommended by the Adminis- <br />trator. <br />Commissioner Bird wished to be sure that $5,000 is suffici- <br />ent to cover the unfinished items, and Utilities Director Pinto <br />reported that he and Public Works Director Davis looked at the <br />project yesterday and believed it can be covered well within <br />$5,000. <br />Administrator Wright wished to recommend that the developer <br />be allowed to substitute a $5,000 bond, and in the event they <br />don't substitute it before the present bond expires, staff would <br />like to be authorized to pull down $5,000 out of the existing <br />bond. <br />Commissioner Scurlock and Bird agreed to amend their Motion <br />per the Administrator's recommendation. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION on the <br />Motion as amended. It was voted on and carried <br />unanimously. <br />BEACH PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Commissioner Wodtke informed the Board that at the March <br />12th meeting of the Beach Preservation and Restoration Committee, <br />they came up with the following proposed objectives: <br />101 <br />
