Baird REFERENCES: Attachment: Copy of Agreemen <br />Assistant Utility Director <br />DESCRIPTIONS OF CONDITIONS: <br />Attached is an agreement between Indian River County Utilities <br />and Water Services of America to add Dupont Model 0040 B-9 <br />Permeators to the County reverse osmosis water plant. Under the <br />contract the first seven permeators will be installed in 1984 at <br />cost of $43,750.00 and there will be anoption to add three sets <br />of membranes (set = 7 membranes) in 1985 at cost of $47,250.00. <br />The membranes purchased will come with the standard Dupont five <br />year warranty. <br />New membranes will increase capacity and efficiency at the <br />reverse osmosis water plant. <br />ALTERNATIVE AND ANALYSIS: <br />1. Approve the agreement between Indian River County and Water <br />Service•of America. <br />2. Disapprove the agreement between Indian River County and <br />Water Services of America. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Utility Staff recommends the Honorable Board of County <br />Commissioners approve the agreement between Indian River County <br />and Water Services of America. <br />Attorney Brandenburg explained that a rack consists of <br />7 membranes each and under this contract we are purchasing <br />one rack at $43,750 and getting the option of buying 3 <br />additional racks for $47,250 each. <br />11 <br />
