APR 101985 <br />BOOK co Pi x:510 <br />The project is in conflict with the policies set forth in the <br />above documents and, as such, County staff is concerned about <br />the cumulative impacts of this and similar type projects to <br />benthic ecosystems. <br />Future -proposals of this nature which adversely affect the <br />Indian River within the unincorporated portion of the County, <br />will receive negative comments from the planning staff. <br />On March 20, 1985, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted <br />unanimously to accept staff's recommendation as stated below. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />authorize the staff to transmit a negative comment to the <br />appropriate permitting agencies regarding this project. <br />ON MOTION by by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />authorized staff to transmit a negative comment to <br />the appropriate permitting agencies regarding this <br />project. <br />Mr. Challacombe suggested the following wording: "The <br />project is in conflict with the policies set forth in the <br />above documents, our Comprehensive Land Use Plan, the <br />Hutchinson Island Resource Management Plan and the coastal <br />management plan of the Treasure Coast Regional Planning <br />Council and that future proposals of this nature which <br />adversely affect the Indian River within the unincorporated <br />portion of the County will receive further negative comments <br />from the Planning staff." <br />PUBLIC HEARING RE AMENDMENT TO FLORIDA STATUTE FOR <br />ADDITIONAL REVENUE FOR COUNTY PROGRAMS <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 3/28/85: <br />79 <br />
