MAY 1 <br />1985 <br />• I BOOK <br />60 <br />DDH 794. <br />interest <br />in it so they could make some improvements in <br />it, <br />possibly shuffleboard courts. <br />Attorney Brandenburg stated that it could be quit claimed <br />with a reverter clause that it remain open to the public and that <br />none of the large oak trees could be cut down without county <br />approval. <br />Commissioner Wodtke agreed that we can protect the trees, <br />but did not feel if the center put in shuffleboard courts, for <br />instance, we should say anybody could be able to come in and use <br />the courts, if that was the Attorney's intent, and Attorney <br />Brandenburg stated that he meant it should open to anyone in the <br />neighborhood who wished to use it. <br />Chairman Lyons commented that he could see giving it just as <br />a piece of property, but not to become a recreation center with <br />structures, etc., and Commissioner Bowman did not see having <br />shuffleboard in a passive park as she felt this would lead to <br />more paving and eventually removal of the trees. <br />In further discussion, Commissioners Bird and Wodtke agreed <br />to include in their Motion that no structures can be put on the <br />property without county approval. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED_FOR THE QUESTION on the Motion <br />with the added language. It was voted on and carried <br />unanimously (4-0). <br />OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES STUDY COMMITTEE <br />Commissioner Wodtke informed the Board that he has asked for <br />recommendations for appointments; Treasure Coast Builders have <br />recommended Russell Trimm; the Board of Realtors have recomnended <br />Anthony Alfino; and the Chamber of Commerce has recommended <br />Andrew Wainwright. He recommended these people be appointed to <br />the Committee along with Tax Collector Gene Morris and himself <br />and requested the assistance of the County Attorney and staff. <br />78 <br />L—J <br />
