May 7, 1985 <br />PROPOSED COMMENTS TO ST. JOHNS RIVER WATER <br />MANAGEMENT DISTRICT GOVERNING BOARD <br />Indian River County believes that all State agencies should be <br />required to coordinate their plans and activities in an attempt to <br />achieve their mutual objectives in the most cost-efficient manner <br />for all the residents of the State, and to that end the County: <br />(a) believes that the District plan for the Fellsmere Grade Road <br />should incorporate the potential future use of the Grade as an <br />east/west traffic corridor for use of northern Indian River County <br />residents and southern Brevard County residents. The District <br />design should . be coordinated with the Florida Department of <br />Transportation and the Indian River County Engineering Department; <br />(b) believes that the construction south of State Road 60 should be <br />coordinated with Indian River County and the Florida Department of <br />Transportation to provide for the potential future, four-laning of <br />State Road 60 throughout the project area; and <br />s <br />(c) believes that the project offers tremendous recreational <br />potential within the management areas which will be created and <br />would like to cooperate with the District in developing this <br />potential for all the residents of the County. <br />53 <br />MAY �' � BOOK ' Fr�1,F$�� <br />1_ 9�5 <br />I <br />
