The division and recording in accordance with law of a <br />parcel of land into three or more lots or blocks for the purpose of <br />transfer of ownership for development, sale, or lease. <br />TEMPORARY STRUCTURE. A structure without any foundation or footings <br />and which is removed when the designated time period, activity, or use <br />for which the temporary structure was erected has ceased. <br />TEMPORARY USE. A use established for a fixed period of time with the <br />intent to discontinue such use upon the expiration of the time period <br />(Cross reference: §25C). <br />TENANT DWELLING. A residential structure located on a bona fide farm <br />occupied by a transient farm worker employed on the farm. <br />TIME-SHARE ESTATE. Any interest in a dwelling unit under which the <br />exclusive right of use, ownership, possession, or occupancy of the <br />unit circulates among the various owners of time-share estates in such <br />unit in accordance with a fixed time schedule on a periodically <br />recurring basis for a period of time established by such schedule. <br />TIME-SHARE PLAN. Any arrangement, plan, scheme, or similar device, <br />whether by membership agreement, tenancy in common, sale, lease, deed <br />rental agreement, license, use agreement, security, or by any other <br />means, whereby a purchaser in exchange for advanced consideration <br />receives a right to use accommodations or facilities, or both for a <br />period of time less than a full year during any given year but not <br />necessarily for consecutive years, and which extends for a period of <br />more than three (3) years. <br />TIME-SHARE UNIT. Any dwelling unit in which time-share estates have <br />been created. <br />TOWNHOUSE. A one -family dwelling in a group of at least three such <br />units n which each unit has its own front and rear..access,_ to the <br />outside, no unit is located over another unit, and each unit is <br />separated from any other unit by one or more common fire resistant <br />walls. <br />YARD. An open space at grade between a building and the adjoining lot <br />lines unoccupied and unobstructed by an portion of a structure from <br />the ground upward, except as otherwise provided herein. In measuring <br />a yard for the purpose of determining the width of a side yard, the <br />depth of a front yard or the depth of a rear yard, the minimum hori- <br />zontal distance between the lot line or chord line and the structure <br />shall be used. <br />YARD, FRONT. A yard extending across the front of a lot between the <br />side yard lines, and being the minimum horizontal distance between the <br />street line and the structure or any projections thereof, other than <br />the projection of uncovered steps. On corner lots, all yards which <br />abut the street are considered front yards. <br />YARD, REAR. A yard extending across the rear of a lot between the <br />side lot lines and between the rear lot line and the nearest struc- <br />ture. <br />On lots with one front lot line, the lot line opposite the front lot <br />line shall be the rear lot line. <br />On corner lots which abut two streets, the remaining yards not abut- <br />ting a street shall be side yards when abutting a side yard and shall <br />be rear yards when abutting a rear yard. <br />On a corner which abuts three streets, the remaining yards not abut- <br />ting a street shall be a side yard if it abuts a side yard and a rear <br />yard if it abuts a rear yard. <br />YARD, SIDE. A yard between any structure and the side line of the <br />lot, and extending from the front building setback line to the rear <br />yard and being the minimum horizontal distance between a side lot line <br />and the side of any structure. A yard which is not a front or rear <br />yard. <br />
