Chairman Lyons requested that some time the Commission <br />members go over to the jail and see what is on the computer now. <br />He believed the jail has done an outstanding job in getting its <br />clerical functions on the computer, and when we finally get it <br />hooked into the Courthouse, he felt it will be a big help to <br />everyone. <br />EXTENSION TO CONTRACT FOR MINIMUM SECURITY STUDY FOR JAIL <br />FACILITY <br />Some discussion ensued regarding extending the contract with <br />Consultant Robert Buchanan of Correctional Services Group for the <br />jail facility to include the minimum security facility study so <br />that he can be paid for his services, and Administrator Wright <br />expressed the desire that staff be authorized to use Mr. <br />Buchanan's services in the future, if needed, at some small <br />not -to -exceed figure. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, Commissioner Bird being delayed, <br />the Board unanimously (4-0) agreed to extend the <br />contract with Correctional Services Group for the jail <br />facility to include the minimum security facility study; <br />approved invoice from Correctional Services Group in the <br />amount of $774.53 for this study; and authorized staff <br />to use the services of Mr. Buchanan in the future, if <br />needed, at a figure not to exceed $1,500. <br />TRANSPORTATION PLANNING COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Commissioner Scurlock reviewed the following report: <br />41 <br />BOOK 61 <br />
