($19,696.25) to the owners of the benefited <br />properties; and notified the Road and Bridge <br />Department to schedule construction. <br />(Preliminary Assessment Rolls for all the above approved <br />projects are on file in the Office of the Clerk.) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85- 59 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BCS OF COUNTY <br />CUNIlffSSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN PAVING <br />AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO APPLE WAY <br />FROM 12TH STREET SOUTH APPROXIMATELY <br />1125 L.F.; PROVIDING THE TOTAL ESTIMATED <br />COST, METHOD OF PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS, <br />NUMBER OF ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS, AND <br />LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA SPECIALLY <br />BENEFITED. <br />WHEREAS, the County Public Works Department has received <br />a request for improvements signed by all of the owners of property in <br />the area to be specially benefited, requesting paving and drainage <br />improvements to Apple Way from 12th Street, running south approximately <br />1125 lineal feet; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Canmissioners has considered <br />this request and has determined that it is appropriate for the County to <br />undertake the requested improvements and assess one -hundred percent of <br />the cost thereof to the owners of properties specially benefited, <br />pursuant to authority contained in Ordinance 81-27, and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Division has ccanpleted <br />preliminary design work including a cost estimate which indicates the <br />actual total estimated cost of the proposed improvements to be <br />$19,696.25; and <br />WHEREAS, the special assessment provided hereunder shall, <br />for any given record owner of property within the area specially bene- <br />fited, be in an amount equal to 1/8 (12;2-%) of the actual cost of the <br />project, and shall become due and payable at the office of the Tax <br />Collector of Indian River County ninety days after the final determi- <br />nation and of the special assessment pursuant to Ordinance 81-27; and <br />and <br />WHEREAS, any special assessment not paid within said ninety <br />(90) day period shall bear interest beyond the due date at a rate <br />established by the Board of County Commissioners at the time of <br />preparation of the final assessment roll, and shall be payable in two <br />71 <br />'JUN 5 195 BOOK FA„E <br />J <br />
