Commissioner Bird trusted that the people recommended by <br />Chairman Lyons for appointment to this advisory board represented <br />a good cross section of the community. <br />Vice Chairman Scurlock reported that Librarians Mary Kiser <br />and Lynn Walsh feel that this is a good cross section and are <br />happy that the meetings would be open to the public. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />authorized staff to draw up a Resolution establishing <br />a Public Library Advisory Board, authorized the <br />appointment of the persons listed above, and set a <br />specific task and timeframe for this Board. <br />PURCHASE OF PROPERTY NEAR KIWANIS-HOBART PARK FOR GOLF COURSE <br />Commissioner Bird explained that he added this item to <br />today's Agenda because there is a piece of property at Kiwanis- <br />Hobart Park which separates two pieces of County -owned property <br />that we would like to put together to help us in the layout and <br />design of the golf course. He reported that there is an <br />opportunity for the County to acquire this property at little or <br />no cost and requested authorization for Attorney Vitunac to begin <br />negotiations with the owner of the one -acre parcel. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />authorized the County Attorney to begin negotiations <br />with the owner of the three -acre parcel described <br />above. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION FROM GOLF COURSE COMMITTEE <br />Commissioner Bird reported that they have narrowed the <br />selection of golf course architects down to the following: <br />42 <br />BOOK F'A E 14 <br />
